This photo, the third of a series of Thames riverscapes taken on a beautiful, bright Christmas Day 2002, shows the South bank of the Thames east of Shad Thames. In the foreground is a mooring buoy with a cormorant. The red and white boats are some of the tourist boats which would ordinarily be plying their trade up and down the river, but were at rest on Christmas Day. The warehouses of Bermondsey line the bank.
